V-mount

Has anyone tried a v-mount setup with a stock radiator? I'm thinking about doing it and just want to know if its possible. Thanks guys.

You'd have to be insane to go through the effort of doing a v-mount and then use the stock radiator with the POS plastic end tanks!

Well I must be insane cos I managed to do it, It took a lot of head scratching and a few days of bleeding, swearing and cursing but I did get it done. The biggest *** was dropping the P/S pipes to make room for the RAD.
The pic I have is only of the finished result , I have none of the progress sorry but it did work.
Just to let you know I went back to FMIC

most V-mount kits come with an aftermarket radiator anyway just pick up one of those

Hmm.. are you sure the radiator isn't in the stock config here? I can't imagine how you could have turned it over and still successfylly routed the coolant hoses. Got a pic of that?

i wouldnt trust the stock radiator in the first place. Espically when im in Miami (hott weather 24/7) upgrading the radiator should be one of your 1st priority. Besides theres a v mount on sale IN the for sale section

Rotary extremes Vmount comes with a rad., hes selling a dinged one for cheap right now in the for sale section right now, id jump on that if i was you..
