Using PFC Boost Control?

I've been searching the forums looking for reviews/comparisons for using the PFC boost control kit as opposed to a different EBC.

So far I've only been able to find conflicting answers. Some people seem to be saying that using the PFC BC is sketchy at best, yet others swear that it works just dandy.

I was originally going to use the Greddy Profec B Spec II, but I have an opportunity to pick up the boost control kit for cheap. So which road should I travel?

And on another note, has anyone had any problems with the Greddy boost gauge leaking? Mine (installed when I purchased the car) makes a fluttering sound under boost, and the vac line is properly connected. I've never heard a boost gauge make that sound before.

I've heard the same sketchy reviews about the Profec controller. That seems to be par for the course. I have been running a Knightsports EBC (EBS III) for a while and it's great.

I DEFINITELY won't be switching to the PFC BC any time soon. The only reason I could see someone getting a PFC BC out of the gate is that they happen to have a PFC and would like to integrate boost control into the Commander.

im still debating wether to get the upgrade for the pfc or just get a avc-r. i like the option on the avc-r that you can adjust boost per gear but i doubt its available on the upgrade for the pfc.

That's not exactly true. The ACV-R's work well and quite a few people use them on FD's. However, they can't be tricky to setup on the sequential turbo system which is why more people opt for the Greddy units.

Dale even has a write for installing one:

Does the PFC control kit work well? Or am I better off looking at something else? I wouldn't mind incorporating the BC into the PFC, but it is a pain in the *** to change boost ect.
