Anyone purchase anything from Instagram seller "mazda_x7_miata_parts" they have something I need, but curious if anyone has any experience with them. Says they are in Utah.

I've never heard of them before, but that doesn't mean much as I usually go directly to certain members here to ask for use parts I need.

What are you looking for? If it's still available new then I'd contact Ray Crowe. If it is NLA then I'd post a WTB thread and/or ask tomsn16 or Fritz Flynn if they have it.

It's a bit if an odd piece, looking for the spare tire well, mine had a leaky hatch and it is rusted out, so trying to find one that someone will cut one out. Have a wanted add posted here, but nothing concrete yet. This guy said he has one, but only random Google images so far, supposedly going to send me real pics, but always a bit skeptical buying stuff online. Already checked with Fritz snd he didn't have it.

Definitely make them send you pics with a customized message in it to be sure they ACTUALLY have it.

I'll ask the shop where my car is being built what they did with mine.. I took mine out because, reasons:

There is a very good chance mine is long since in the scrap yard, but anything's possible.

It looks like it's only perforated thru in a few areas, so if you can't find a whole tire well section new or used, why not patch it with fresh sheet steel sections shaped/bent to fit over the holey areas? You're going to have to hire a welder or DIY this job anyway, and this isn't a particularly visible part of the car, so patching & repainting is certainly an alternative that will get the job done.

That will be my alternative solution, but there are a lot of compound curves there, so hoping to find a piece I can just weld in and keep it as original as possible. Figured someone will cut it out for a fuel cell or something.

Kevin at rx7parts.com is a valuable resource. He usually has whole cars that he cuts sections out of for people. Tom and fritz are valuable as well no doubt.

if you buy anything on instagram you are asking to be scammed unless its from a reputable shop like MAP or Sakebomb or someone who you know is a real place.

Those social media accounts can literally buy followers on places like EpicNPC and have this huge fake image / not be legit at all.

Ask to see some live streams of the items you want, ask to see their current outgoing order bucket or something. Do they even exist? Maybe utah business license?

This guy was really sketchy the more I communicated with him, all the signs of a scammer. Blocked him and moved on.
