No resistance measurements yet, i asked what wires should i test, and posted pics of my connectors, cause in some thread said that who erver did it (cant remember who) was not sure about the colors and which plug was it.
I have a 94 cluster with 99 tach and speedometer.
Those wires to the back of the cluster belong to 99 spec cluster, which i am not using. And they go here.
But again , i am not using the 99 cluster.
My 94 cluster is so much different, that those wires dont exist on my 94 cluster.
Thanks
Copy, you are using a 94 USDM cluster with 99 JDM tach & speedometers.
When it comes to reading wires, the Body Electrical Manual is the Bible. Do you have a copy of it?
Look at the Instrument Cluster Circuit, Pg C1-3 (PDF Pg 5). It will tell you many things: connectors, connector shapes (very important for the cluster), wire color codes, and component locations. You can print out the page(s) to take notes on it and trace over lines with colored pencils. That would ensure all wires associated with the speedo board/instrument cluster are checked.
Consider a copy of the body electrical manual as a basic tool for any electrical work on the FD. It is like using a 10mm socket or a Phillips screwdriver on the car.
If you have any problems finding a manual then let me know.
