URGENT: OK to lube fuel hoses with oil to get them on?
I'm trying my damndest to get this f@)#&%g hose on my new fuel pulsation dampener, but it looks like it goes on almost an inch and a half. So far I've gotten it about half an inch, but I was wondering if it was alright to lube it with some oil so it could slip on more easily. Has anyone tried this? Would you recommend it?
TIA
-Jon
P.S. I'm a big fan of doing things right the first time.

I'd do it and I've done it. Just don't go overboard
Actually, I used my premix oil and it worked jsut fine. Besides, even if you use regular oil, I don't see how using that small amount needed to slip on the hose would affect the pulsation dampener.

just make sure you tighten it good so it doesn't slip off as easy as it went on.
