URGENT: OK to lube fuel hoses with oil to get them on?
I'm trying my damndest to get this f@)#&%g hose on my new fuel pulsation dampener, but it looks like it goes on almost an inch and a half. So far I've gotten it about half an inch, but I was wondering if it was alright to lube it with some oil so it could slip on more easily. Has anyone tried this? Would you recommend it?
TIA -Jon P.S. I'm a big fan of doing things right the first time. |
I'd do it and I've done it. Just don't go overboard :p:
Actually, I used my premix oil and it worked jsut fine. Besides, even if you use regular oil, I don't see how using that small amount needed to slip on the hose would affect the pulsation dampener. |
 OMFG that was way easier! Thx, I got it on with just one twist.
Dammit, I forgot to wipe my hands before I started typing. |
