Angry urgent help required

hi ppl ....wanna know what are the symptoms if you have problem with your apex seal... as my car starts off well rpm goes to 2900 the engine charges as temperature of the car comes to normal and the rpm comes below 900 my car starts vibrating and it only happens when the car is idle... as i press the throttle the car becomes norm,al everything is normal but when the car is idle it starts vibrating and i get a felling that something is blocked.
could this be a petrol issue as i put in premier instead of hi octane.... which is cleaner than premier.....in pakistan....you ppl think i have to get my fuel thank flushed or something ..........
urgent help on this please!!!

Use only the highest octane fuel, the engine will not tolerate midgrade or lowest levels

well from what i hear rotaries dont have the smoothest idle. I know that when my car starts up, i have greddy elbow with no AWS tube and when i first start my car fluctuates for like 15 secs. During that time wheneve the revs fall below like 600 the car vibrates like a mo fo. I would say try adjusting you idle to about 900. Just slightly above whatever u have now and see how that works.

I honestly think your first step should be a compression test. If you are new to the car it's a very good thing to have as a reference, and it will confirm any questions about whether the engine was damaged by a low-octane fuel.

As for what fuel you can use, look for 95 RON or better: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=462968

Owning an RX-7 is hard enough in the states, I couldn't even imagine trying to do it in Pakistan. What will you do if you do need a rebuild?

I tend to think the compression is ok then, but get the test done the next time it is in a shop. It's a good thing to know.

My thought is also a gasket leak, or a bad idle adjustments. If you run a search for "LIM Gasket" you should get plenty of information.

Yeah the concept of getting a rebuild is quite easy to understand but how are YOU going to install it? Any good RX-7 shops in Pakistan?

Not to be a dick but it sounds like you're getting a good bit of misinformation. Maybe replace the fuel filter but I'm not sure why you'd need to "flush the gas tank". The vacuuum is found on a boost gauge which you'll need to install since they don't come stock.

This is for your car:

That's a very general statement. Answer is...you wouldn't fix anything if the problem wasn't with the motor.

Here's something you can do that is easier than getting the compression checked: get a vacuum gauge (boost gauges often read vacuum as well as boost) and see if it jumps around a lot at idle. If so, it is likely that you have a cracked apex seal.

The fuel filter, if it is too dirty, restricting fule flow, will only affect how the car runs at higher RPM's and higher power outputs, not at idle.
