Upgrades on a budget, any ideas?
Ive searched the forum and done some local searching, and I managed to find these items for a grand total of $1000
HKS INTAKE
BONEZ DOWNPIPE
GREDDY PE EXHAUST
PF PMC WITH KEYPAD
GREDDY SMIC
My car also has a non-sequential turbo upgrade, with these add ons what type of horsepower can i expect? Is there anything else you recommend that I do?

HKS is good, as an intake, but the filtration sucks. I would go with a homemade K&N setup, or Rob's "poorman intake."
Instead of the Bonez DP get a HKS DP and just have it jet coated. Save your money on the ECU, and go for something better. And if you really want an SMIC, M2 (medium) is supposed to be one of the best. As far as the exhaust goes, if you dont care about performance, it's just about sound at that point, if u like the GReddy PE go for it.
Good luck.

If I had the money to get the better parts right now I would but I am in the process of rebuilding the car and it is missing parts like the cat back, and the intake I was going to change anyway, but I can get the PF PMC for $300 and you dont think thats worth it?

That's the way I started, and that's the way I stayed; it's been very reliable since 1996...with 92,000 miles of daily driving and weekend track racing... BTW I'm using the stock ECU, stock motor, stock twin turbos.
Horsepower (45 HP increase over stock):
Racing Beat Intake Duct
K&N Filter drop in (stock airbox and IC)
Bonez High-Flow Cat (3-inch OD, 2-pc downpipe, and hiflow cat)
Trust Catback (3-inch OD)
10.5 psi boost control pill waste gate
M2 8.5-lb flywheel/ACT Pressure Plate/Bonez performance clutch disc
RP underdrive main pulley
75% water 25% antifreeze, Redline Water Wetter
Suspension:
H&R Springs (stock R1 shocks)
Eibach Sway Bars Fr/Rr
Tri Point Fr Sway Bar mount reinforcer
Brakes:
Racing Beat stainless steel lines
Motul 600 F
Hawk HP Plus (street/autocross)
Hawk Black Fr, Carbotech Panther Rr (track)
Wheels/Tires:
SSR Integral A2s, 8 x 16, 38 mm offset/225-50-16 Pirelli P-Zero (road)
SSR Competitions, 8.5 Fr, 9.5 Rr x 17, 42 mm offset/245-45 Fr, 275-40 Rr -17 Hoosier R3S03 (race)
No my mod list is not impressive, in fact the list is quite modest. But that's my point. Without meaning to brag (because it ain't braggin' if you can do it)
, but I've driven my car much faster than other FD drivers with many, many more mods out on a road racing circuit...granted, 90% MIGHT be driving skill, but...if you want bang-for-the buck mods that give you weekend track performance AND daily-driver reliability, consider what I've done to my '93 R1

Great Intake
Apexi Dual Super intake @ NOPI.com for $227. I've done the cheap route using "the poor man's intake" with the drop in k&N intake along with a racing beat cool air duct and spent about $170. It worked great for a while but since then I upgraded to an Apexi intake and love it. I left the racing beat duct on so I still funnel cool air in my engine and intake system.

If you are REALLY on a tight buudget, I'll sell you my gutted precat/Poor man's downpipe for $70
Oh, WHERE did you find the Greddy SMIC for under $1000?

Buy most things used. Thats what I do. Make sure they are in good working condition. You will save so much $$$ to put towards other things...
Some things you have to by new though...

That's a great deal, that's just about the best intake you can get, and the price is a steal, I haven't seen them for under 300.00..
