Congratulations, fellow michigander. I went from many first gens (1 fave) to a couple of second gens (1 fave), to a 94. With each upgrade, I bought the new car first, then waited a while to sell the old one. Much easier that way. Everytime I miss my s5, I drive the 94. Shitty winter not included.
Welcome to the world of speed and power.
It's been a while since I've driven a 1st Gen. This may sound funny, but when sitting in a first or third gen. there's something about them that feels like they have more in common than either has with a 2nd gen. There's a great difference in speed and handling between the 1st and 3rd, but there feels like there's a genetic link between the two. I'd be interested to hear how you think the two compare?

Yea, when driving this car i definitely feel the similarity to my 1st gens. The handling, the comfort, everything. I love the car so far, unfortunately its been snowy, thus they have salted the roads so im not driving it much yet. The one thing that is very different to me though is the traction and power. My 1st gen i could spin the wheels all day and it wasnt really a problem. In the 3rd gen theres to much traction and it starts to wheel hop so its a much different experience. The seats fit me like a glove to, i love it
and perhaps a diff brace. make sure your trailing arms and toe links arent too worn. if so replace the pillow *****, it makes a world of a difference and is usually something that isnt found to be often replaced.

Congrats, looks like a great car. Those wheels are beautiful on fds.
