Smile Update On Boost Problem!

Hello, some of you know about a month ago I had some threads up on here about the boost problem that me and my cousin were having with the RX7 we had just purchased about 4 months ago. Well tomorrow is the BIG day! I found a shop in my area that just work on Rx7’s and from what people told me in the regional forum, they were the best. The car has been with them for about 2 weeks now, they had a very hard time finding the problem to this boost leak, the car was only boosting up to 5 psi and then drops to 0psi after about 3,500rpms. EVERYTHING was checked on the car and they couldn’t find out what was wrong, they even gave the car a full hose job and replaced all the hoses which were literally falling off in to dust. The previous owner did not take care of the car at all. He had the a/c on 24/7 from what the shop said and that caused some damage. So after they did the hose job they thought they would fix the boost problem but still was not fixed, now it would hold only to 5psi. It was like everyday they found something wrong with the car and fix it and boost would go up slowly. They found the problem and ordered the parts and fixed it today and now say that it holds the proper stock boost 10/8psi. But they are going to keep the car until tomorrow and replace the really bad spark plugs, it was like the previous owner never changed them! And there is also something else they are going to replace that goes near the cat and downpipe, something like a “scrambler that also can mess boost up. I will let you guys now if the car is really fixed tomorrow when the shop calls to pick it up or leave it for another 1 week because they couldn’t fix it totally . but I really hope they fix it. Me and my cousin are really anxious to feel how a RX7 should feel. Many people in our area were making fun of us and saying that the RX7 is the worst car and has the most problems and to sell it, but we are out to prove them wrong! I will let you guys know what exact parts were replaced and fixed. Thank you to all the people that responded to the threads i put up about the car and its problems, your feedback really help. Thank you.

PS its sad how people like the previous owner of this car treat such a beautiful super car like the RX7.
