someone please help this guy!!!

ok .. here's my say... first drive it around... put some fresh gas in it. if that doesn't work try raising the idle a bit.. there's a couple of ways to do it. One is by the air bleed screw near the bottom on the TB(throttle body) or use the lock nut part on the TB that holds the butterflies open.

try fresh gas first though.. you said it was sitting for a couple of week right?

BTW: there's no such thing as "idler fluid level"

Check the vacuum hose leaving from the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor is a small black box near the firewall. If you search you will find some pics of it.

spark - Replace spark plugs & check wires for cracks and the metal thing inside isn't broken and that it snaps on to the plug (check for snap noise).
air - check for loose or disconnected vacuum hoses. adjust idle screws if necessary. check and adjust TPS if necessary.
fuel - were the plugs wet when you removed them? ...flooding problem. is fuel pump and injectors ok. Replace fuel filter if unknown when last replaced.

800 bones, thats a good deal

you don't have an air flow sensor...you have a MAP, and it can't cost anywhere near $800.

Your map sensor is a small box on a bracket on the firewall on the drivers side. There will be one vacuum hose coming up from underneath connecting to the nipple on the bottom of the map. It may say "boost" on top. It often comes off if it has not been tied and if it comes off your car will shake, rattle and roll, if it runs at all.

I would suggest stop taking your car to any mechanic that does not work on rotaries.
You need to find a good rotary mechanic first. Or you will be wasting your time and money, or worst destroying your car. It could be something as simple as a loose IC coupler but they will telll you "oh, your motor is gone".

First thing to try is re-setting your cpu. Unplug negative cable from battery.
Step on the brakes for 10-20 second. Reconnect negative battery. And restart your car.

surprisingly there are so many reasons your idle can bounce or not hold. o2 sensor and alternator are two that I've run acrossed personally.
