unorthodox main pulley install on automatic
I recently purchased the full unorthodox racing ultra ss pulley set and all of the pulleys are easy to install with the exception of the main pulley. I was just going to take it to the shop but I went to Rotor Sports Racing and they said it would be $300 just to do the main pulley and thats more than I paid for the pulleys, so I'm just going to try it on my own. I know that you are supposed to wedge something between the bell housing and pressure plate or remove the starter and wedge the flywheel. Which of these methods are better for preventing disaster? and what is best to wedge the flywheel or pressure plate with? And I know with the manual transmission you are supposed to put it in 5th gear and hold the brakes, but does anyone know what you are supposed to do with an automatic transmission b/c the UR instructions say refer to the workshop manual and I looked and it doesn't even mention removing the pulley with an automatic transmission. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
