That being said, you can (and should) adjust the depth of the rod which connects your clutch pedal to the piston inside your clutch master cylinder. If it's adjusted incorrectly then it can result in the clutch never fully releasing, which will burn out a clutch pretty quickly.

If it is set correctly for one clutch, why would it need to be set differently for another clutch?

I'm not a professional, but I figure it's best practice to check/correct it any time there is a swap due to different wear and travel depth. I'd check it periodically anyway and/or any time you flush your fluid.

It's super easy and takes all of 10 minutes.

Anecdotally, I burned through a couple clutches in my Miata shortly after buying it due to a combination of old fluid and neglecting to adjust the rod.
