Underneath View of a rex

does any1 have a pic of the underneath of a rx7 FD3s ?

just want to see the route the exhaust travels in, trying to compare a japspec underneath to a US,

basically i want to know if a US Downpipe / Midpipe would fit on my jap spec rex?

just want to see a pic of the underneath of a US spec rex.

thanks in advance

First off Jap = racial slur to Japanese ppl
Second its not a rex

Anyway, its basically the same. I sent my friend in Japan an M2 DP and it fit fine. The midpipe will definitely not be a problem. Good luck.

Lets define some term here for the PC people (those in question will remain Nameless) on this thread.

First off, Jap is short for Japanese, this term was ingrained in many societies during and after WW2 when the Japanese army and people were used as cannon fotter by there own government.

Second, Rex is a term of affection used by many (myself included) towards there rotary powered cars.

Third, the guy is asking a simple question so stop being a dick head about it.

As for your question shaq, the U.S. exhaust system exits the rear of the car on the U.S. passenger side of the vehicle. This would be the right side of the car for a non-US spec vehicle. As long as your exhaust exits there everything else should match up.

So why do the Japanese consider abbreviating the word Japanese to Jap a racial slur?

Hint to the Japanese, "Jap" is in wide usage over here, and not with intention to insult. Although it can also stand for "Jewish American Princess"

I think there is a difference with the "form" of the DP do to the RH steering system, but i think all the mounting point are the same.

Out here in California we almost never hear people use the word "Jap."

AFAIK, the downpipe has a small indention to clear the steering shaft and that's about it. JspecRacer could tell you for sure.

That’s why I hardly ever post here I have noticed people are far too jumpy and they seem to analyze every word trying to find something wrong with the post instead of trying to help a fellow rotary enthusiast.

I am NOT a racist and did not mean to insult anyone by using the word jap.
I will correct the post hopefully this should meet up to your standards.

(i cant correct the post if a moderator wants to do his feel free)

I dont get it, I didnt flame him because I didnt think he was being racist or derogatory in any fashion. But ok if you feel that way, I cant do anything about that.

Anyway, I answered your original question, it will fit.

LoL thats a good pic.

Dont go to M2 ppl have had problems with them recently with FD parts.

What I always tell ppl is get an HKS DP and have it Jet-Hot coated (HKS is actually made for the JSpec cars), it negates the mild-steel problem, and you get the benefits of Jet Hot
Rx7store, and I believe rotaryextreme sell M2 style DPs.

That is the HKS DP, yes the cast manifold breaks far less than anything comperable... and it has the kink in it to facilitate J-Spec RHD cars as well....

Yeah, wasn't a fun ride... I was just glad that that corner did'nt have a 500 ft drop like some areas here in SoCal !
Even so I caught full air burried the *** in the sand and flipped it on it's roof...

I still get weak kneed when I go on Canyon runs, and "immagine" what could have happened....

DCrosby, that's gotta hurt to see that car like that. Oh well, it'll give you a project for the winter . Anyways, any wreck you walk away from is a good one. It's a good picture of the exhaust, though.

Get over it...

He didn't say "Jap" and if he did this is a car forum.

The M2 DP fit a RHD car?
