Uim Diy !!
Can any of you guys tell me how to go about polishing my UIM ??
No one wants to be bothered with getting in between the runners so I guess it looks like I have to do it myself. I actually had the original one chromed and it came out like crap so I'm going to try polishing another one. Yet another case of if you want it done properly, do it yourself.
Please post or pm me if you have any experience doing this or at least have seen it done.
My guess is a Dremmel tool, some sanding paper/micro fine and a buffer ?!?!
It can't be that hard ..can it ?
PS - I don't live in the US of A and I think shipping the UIM to have it polished may not be very cost effective.
Thanks a mil all,

Ive polished bike rims with a buddy of mine and I know that you should do most of it by hand. Start out with rough sandpaper and in 6-7 steps work your way ato ultra fine. This should been done wet too. Then it should be buffed after sanding with this certain compound, that I cant tell you. All has to do with wet sanding though...

TTT is the man when polishing stuff, those little hands sure do nice work
I polished my efini y-pipe, came out great but the ****** almost killed me. Do not attempt to polish anythign yourself, unless it is small, efini y-pipe is largest I would go. pipes and **** okay, but UIM, forget it. it look me 6 hours to do y-pipe. an dit still didn;t come out perfect. TTT does amazing work and is cheap.
