Uh oh, oil cooler line busted...

I just got her runnin and all the fluids filled completely, tooker her around the block... get it back in front of the house and the damn oil level buzzer comes on... I pull it in the drive way and shut it off. I lost about 2.5 quarts of oil through a damn busted oil cooler return line...

Besides having to replace the line is there any other problems that might have been caused by this happening?

Did you replace the O-rings in the engine side connector? It's on the inside of the big bolt like part of the connector. If you need some, call Pineapple Racing. They are the only source I know of, and you may not need to replace the entire line if it's just the O-ring.

I replaced mine, and it's about the only place my new engine ISN'T leaking

if you ONLY lost 2.5 quarts and ran no more than a block, yer most likely ok. The combustion chambers are lubricated through the MOP, so low-ish oil doesn't starve that portion of the system of oil.

Your car is Satan.

I can tell you that the dealer doesn't sell only the o-rings. You have to buy the entire line!

You should be ok. I blew my oil and coolant lines last summer after a quick hard drive. I didn't know at the time and had even revved the motor a bit more and had to shut it off immediately (it was a wreck). I haven't had any problems with the motor of turbos. Compression/vacuum is still good and boosting at about 12 psi with no issues. You'll be ok.

that's right paw, which is why I mentioned Pineapple. They bought a large number of after market O-rings for exactly this reason. Pretty sure it's viton material.

I bought a few from them myself. No leaks
