Unhappy Uh oh

While attempting to find my boost problems, I saw my fuel pulsation dampner was a gusher and had it towed to MarvelSpeed. He also found that my primary injectors were leaking too It's gonna be expensive but still cheaper then if it caught on fire.

Yikes! Good catch though. It's better than posting pics of a burnt up FD.

Q: when it does go bad, will the fuel smell normal (like at the pump) or will it smell burned?

Thanks,

Anthony

Just hit 100k

I have smelled a very faint smell every once in a while but it always went away, nothing that I worried about. That smell was a burnt smell.

This smell was very noticable and was "fresh". I think I caught it right when it happened cause I was driving the car hard Saturday night and worked on it Sunday.

Awww poor 7. Good you caught the dampener while you did, we dont need any engine fires.

The Volk GT-A's look pretty good in the pic. I dont like the pics of just the rim but they look nice on the car.

great news that you caught the problem before any major damage!

Is it just me, or does the FD look fast as hell in any situation, even on the bed of the tow truck! Damn these cars look good!

Wow... brings back bad memories for me. First time mine was on a flatbed... my radiator split as I was pulling into Circuit city.... thanks god I wasn't driving or I would have toasted the motor.

Next time I was racing a T/A and "pop"! The car died. It wouldn't re-fire... I thought oh ****... there goes the motor. Flat bedded it to the garage... changed plugs and it re-fired. It then went up for sale.

I remember the damn thing dying in the middle of a test drive!!! Talk about embarrasing!! We waited on the side of the road for about 5 minutes.. then it re-fired and ran great. Needless to say the prospective buyer didn't buy!

I then lowered the price and got the hell out!

Ah the good ole days... ;D
