I don't know Neil...Are you? I was going to go that route, but I'm selling my 850cc inj in a modified primary rail to even out how much I spent on Jan's quad gauge package...HAHA

On that note, TRISPEEDFD3S, have you ever seen a chart/graph/head-to-head comparison of the Apexi to other pumps? Or even better, I'd love to see a graph showing all the major pumps available (Walbro, Supra II, Apexi, Bosch, etc).
I only know that it flows more from Rich's experiences with both pumps (Supra & Apex).

I don't know the specs on the supra pump but the walbro doesn't flow enough to keep up with my 750/1000 injector setup @ full boost. I have to go the way of the Bosch 044 so I would stray away from the walbro for those HP levels
Can I fit an aftermarket secondary rail with all the emissions intact and working ?

A secondary rail installation needs to at least pass visual SMOG inspections as the car will ultimately be going to California, hence the need for bored-out or factory larger secondaries that fit into the stock fuel-rail.

Have a look at the Sard unit ..280l and also meant to flow exceptionally well.
I think I will need to buy another one for mine shortly (Twin)

www.rhdjapan.com have them for reasonable prices (Although I don't know how much you pay in US for pump!)

BTW..great result on the twins!!, did you have another dyno graph showing the improved transition / initial spool points?

Thanks - in CT we only need to pass a sniffer.

FDNewbie - I'd love to see a graph like that as well. If anyone has the info as in a few different flow rates at different pressures for a few pumps I can graph it easily.

For ease of use/searching in the future, and to avoid completely hijacking this thread, I started a new thread here: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?p=7616275 specific to the fuel pump stuff.

This is from my experience. I have a 94 pep and I built it several years ago. I put over 50K miles on the car since building it. It dynoed over 400 RWHP the first week the engine was in. Over the years it has made over 150 dyno passes and put down a best of 440 RWHP. The car never saw less than 15-16 psi on pump gas and saw 17-18 on pump gas a few times in that span of milage. Believe it or not, since I built it years ago, the intake manifold was never removed for any reason. The only thing I did to the car was change the oil and the plugs every 2K miles. I run 850 primaries and RC 1200 secondaries with a Supra pump hot wired. Still using the factory pulsation dampener and the stock fuel pressure regulator! Kan did a hell of a job on each tune he did to my car. I could keep my foot planted to the floor b/c I had confidence in the tune.

Finally the car got to knocking and it spun the front stat gear bearing. I pushed milage between oil changes a few K's too long. Which that was my fault... Since the car is down for more than just a motor, I will be throwing on a set of stage 3's in a few months and get it back running again.

Dude you'd get SPANKED. Tony (TT_6SPD_95 on Supraforums) claims, "My best corrected was 485rwhp/517rwtq. The actual numbers of that same run were 496rwhp/527rwtq. That was obtained on stock twins with no nitrous using 22lbs of boost. 11.22@126 Stock Twins, No Nitrous, 3,680lbs race weight...50 degrees and no humidity"

Keep in mind that Chris' numbers were obtained on a Mustang dyno. On a Dynojet, they would almost certainly have been even higher

Hokay, so someone help me out here:

Supra twins (from what i've heard) are actually smaller than ours. Yet their engine 2jz displaces 3L an additional .4L (almost 20% larger) than our dynamic 2.6L. How exactly do they push 22psi through stock snails w/o surging and superheating the intake charge to lay down more than 500fwhp?

I had the idea a few months ago, it was those threads that disuaded me from doing it. But i'm not sure my questions were answered as much as i'd like.

I redesigned the factory twins on a supra as of lately. Did all kinds of crazy machine work and came out with CNC machined adapters and whatnot. The set ended up making 503 RWHP at 19.5 psi, 537 at 23 psi and 597 RWHP at 29 psi off the factory twin set up! I am getting ready to make the first production run of them first of January....

Nice Bryan! Looks like I'll be getting these BNR Supra twins for my Supra powered Lexus SC300 in the future.

thanks! Here is the thread about hybrid upgrades and then when numbers got posted up it snowballed.

http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=444569

I don't know how long they will last at 29 psi, but I don't suggest them to run more than 23-24 psi just for reliabilty reasons. If you guys have my turbos and want to throw in some comments on the Supra board, I would appreciate it. I am a newby on that forum and don't have many posts. I want them to feel comfortable with their decision to upgrade theirs and not worry about a scammer. I know that twins are a lot of money and not everyone has a money tree sitting outside if you know what I mean!

Badass Man...you're awesome Bryan. I'm a *hardcore* twins fan, and this way I can drive all the cars I love on twins while STILL making tons of power
