Twin BOVs?

In the magazine Import Tuner (Sept 01), it featured a silver 3rd Gen RX-7 with 2 Blitz BOVs.

Why would he need 2 BOVs?

Thanks.

Because 1 Blitz BOV can't vent as much air as 2 Blitz BOV, especially if they're from a single turbo powered FD.

Yeah but in the article it says that the guy is still using factory turbos, everything else has been upgraded tho.

If this is the silver FD from Team Hybrid (which had 2 blitz's), the FD has already gone single. Are you talking about that FD w/ those blue rims and airbags?

And the most likely reason... he thought it would be cool to have two BOVs.

i think you can upgrade both the stock BOV and the CRV with aftermarket blow off valves.

It's a 95, repainted with platinum silver. Front end is a 2000 JDM piece, Veilside carbon fiber lower aim dam, C-West headlights. 20x8.5 Enkei Zeus. 3 piece Erebuni rear spoiler and Knight Sport side skirts.

From all the stickers and such, there is a Team Hybrid on the front windshield, a Tuned by Matrix on the hood and the guy owns a shop down in San Diego area called Poway in SoCal.

Does that help a bit? All the basic performance upgrades has been done plus a lil bit more extra, running factory turbos.

I found a few pics:

From this picture it does seem like he went single, but in the article he was still using stock twins with 2 Blitz BOVs. Oh well.

Don't forget the Mugen emblem on the strut tower bar.

(serious, that guy does have one)

The front end is actually a "FEED" replica/knockoff, that some company is trying to market as thus.

Thats Tom Nogo's car. During that Magazine photo shoot it was factory twins, and the 2 BOV's was for the primary BOV, and the "Pressure Relieve Valve." Think of it as second BOV for the secondaries.....

Rear wing is a Feed design but wouldn't be suprised if it was a replica. He was at the Fast & Furious part II auto search. He was the "only" FD there for the west coast search.

Oh I have, rather my buddy has tons of pics of his ride and some wannabe models posing with it. His brother took the pics for a magazine.
