Twaron - anyone heard of it before ? (clutch material)
I have found a company that can relayer my clutch friction plate with a material named twaron. It is some new material with superb characteristics:

I will be getting this stuff when my clutch goes out. Several cars have been using it locally with over 300hp. Nicest thing is that when you overheat it, it returns into its original state and wears down about 5-10x slower then normal clutch.

Yes, they make also brakes based on this material in combination with carbon. I'll get those too. I'll report back when I use them both on track and street.

Could be. I was told they tested this stuff on Porsche Turbo at Nordschliefe for 36 laps - that is like 450miles and it was like new when they got it out.

"Twaron" appears to be a trade name for Aramid (along with "Kevlar"):
