Turn key, No start

Hey guys,

So Ive just finished putting a new engine in and went to crank it over for oil pressure... only to find it wont crank!

Also as part of this, the headlights wont turn on, and the ECU doesnt appear to have power.

Everything else seems to be fine; interior lights, dash lights, indicators etc, all work. The dash also lights up when the headlights are 'turned on', just the headlights dont actually light up...

Battery is ok
Ive checked all the fuses for continuity and they are all ok.
Checked the starter for power and its ok... but the trigger doesnt appear to be getting a signal when the ignition is turned on.
Checked the grey plugs up by the main fuse, and no signal for starter here either.
No clicking of any relays when I turn the key.
Im in NZ, my FD is from Japan - so no clutch switch

White/Blue/ECU plugs are connected

Is there something that I've mistakenly forgotten to plug back in? Or has CPU #2 maybe bit the dust?

Any light shed on this is most appreciated!

Could be a long shot solution, but in my 300zx I had the exact same symptoms and it turned out to be that the plug into the key ignition had somehow rattled out and wasn't making connection. Have you been doing anything under the dash? Maybe try double checking to see if your plug has come loose.

you said it doesnt have the clutch switch what about the security relay? Mine is kind of finicky and i've heard of others that have had problems.

You can temporarily run a +v wire to the starter solenoid on a switch to get it to crank over. I did that with mine, cause of the same issue. Mine is fixed now but i keep a switch in the engine bay to crank it over from there when needed. Works nice for diagnosing problems.

Check your grounds and make sure you didnt forget any.
