Turbo's and Radiator load
I am looking for input, constructive in nature, so hecklers head for the bathroom and don’t forget the magazine.
I was trying to discern how much load turbo’s add to the cooling system in hard driving situations. Is it the overall enegery (heat) created more by the turbo’s or the engine? The reason is how would a stand-alone cooling system dedicated to the turbo’s. A radiator and pump etc. Most all of you can add just what happens when the turbo’s are asked to go all out. Add some thoughts on your experiences. Thanks

i suppose you could regulate the temps and such but why if the cooling system is within the operating range under boost etc why bother it? i just know that time and money could go someplace more constructive
The amount of heat generated and absorbed by the coolant and oil system from the turbos in comparison to the rest of the engine is pretty minimal. It wouldn't be worth the added effort, weight, and expense.
I would guess that the majority of the heat increases from turbo chargers are due to the increased fuel burned under boost, not from the turbos themselves. I would bet that the actual amount of heat extracted from the turbos is relatively insignificant.
