are you trying to get them out front the top or bottem? have you tried a breaker bar yet? You probally need an impact gun, i broke a universal joint or 2 taking off my brothers one from the bottem, i think you can use a breaker bar+3-5 foot pipe from the top though (never tested this out yet though but should work). watch out for breaking the studs though. oh yeah, try some pblaster and soak it for at least 2-3 days before even trying to do anything. wack it a bit (the studs) with a small hammer lightly to get it a bit loose and allow the calatist to get in there. good luck

No go to the hardware store and buy " PB Blaster" it comes in an aerosol can. It's 10 times better than wd-40.
Most likely the studs will back out before the nut comes off.
The nuts are self warping so they are not supposed to come off easily. They are doing exactly what they are designed to do.

But Im serious about the PB Blaster, just soak the studs with it, let it sit for about 10 min then get after it. If that doesnt do it the first time then repeat the process. They will come off.

Be aware that you need to buy replacemnet studs and nuts for reassembly. You have six 14mm studs and nuts and one 12mm stud with nut

Dont laugh..

Oh and dont forget to replace the gaskets too, if this is the first time you have had the turbos off.

I got the top bolts from above and the bottom bolts from below. Came off pretty easy When it comes to taking the turbo bolts off, now that's a PITA!

soaked wd40 two nights ago and i just took out my turbo yesterday... boys was it scary as i couldnt unbold one of the long bolt/screw from the turbo...

i think you need to take the airpump out, as there isnt much room in there... well dats what i did anyways... and do get all the necessary gasket...
2gasket for dp
2-4 for oil return
2 gasket for intake turbo sides
2 gasket for turbo to manifold
2 gasket for manifold to engine... if your removing this as well...

anything i missed?

Are you accessing the top dp bolts from the top? You should have good access to them from the top if you have all the intake pipes removed. Take out the airpump, it will need to come out eventually anyway. I don't think you'll be able to get an impact gun in there, but if you can, go for it.

I wouldn't recommend removing the exhaust manifold just to replace the gaskets, unless they are leaking. When I took mine off, one of the studs broke off right at the housing (luckily I was getting a reman so I didn't have to deal with it). And the two gaskets are like $150.
