Ok, I bought another FD a couple of weeks ago and haven't had to much time to fool with it. I bought it with a boost issue and want some opinions on the problem.

Symptoms: No boost at all in 1st gear. Boost comes on and goes to a full .80+(11.xx) at around 4500rpm's in both 2nd and 3rd.

It is obvious that the secondary turbo is boosting, but in order for the secondary to come online, wouldn't that mean that the primary would have to be working? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Just trying to get some idea's before I actually start hands-on troubleshooting.

I would start with the Charge Control:

If the charge control is bad, is there any way of fixing it? Or am I just going to have to buy a new one?

 

Usually the solenoid is bad, which is easy. Solenoids are interchangeable, so if you buy an old rats nest at least half of them are good enough for re-use. Or buy a new solenoid from Mazda at $60.

If the actuator/valve is bad, buy one from the buy/sell forum. They're only like $30. (Don't even get a price from Mazda - you can get a dozen used ones for the same $$).
