Turbo Disassembly
I tried searching but have not found a good site or thread that gives detailed steps to follow when completely disassembling them. I need to remove the exhaust housing on the primary turbo so I can enlarge the wastegate. I want to have it removed so I do not run the risk of getting shavings stuck causing premature turbo failure. So far I have the turbos separated and shaft bolt removed on the turbo. On the TD04's I had rebuilt, I just tapped the shaft and exhaust turbine out... Do I do the same with these? After shaft is out, will housing come off? (I removed 6 bolts and plates that seems to keep housing in place). Thanks for helping me out!

you just pull the cartridge off the exhaust housing. You have already removed the appropriate bolts and straps. sometimes it takes a little...persuasion
You didn't need to take the compressor nut off, so I would recommend putting that back on in order to keep your turbos from coming out of balance.
