Did you separate the release collar from the clutch cover?

With the clutch slave out, push the throwout bearing forward. make sure the release collar is flush with the pressure plate all around it's circumference, then insert a long wide flatblade screwdriver in between the throwout bearing and release collar and twist to separate them

^ Yup, assuming it is a manual, there's a collar that holds the FP and TOB together. You need to put a couple tranny bolts back on if you didn't release it at first, then release the collar.

I like to use the slave area to hold it forward and the bottom inpection hole to pop it loose.

I never have good luck separating the collar from the PP; so I just unbolt the PP and wallah. You can access the lightly torqued bolts easy from the inspection hole and just rotate the motor to access the next bolt. GL!
