TX Trying to Diagnose Fuel/Turbo Leak?

I have a project Fd that I have been working on for almost 3 years now, its come to the point where I believe all it needs is new "Turbo to manifold Gaskets"

I have no fuel pressure right now in the fuel system, so when cranking the engine over, it almost immediately floods. At first, I thought I had a leak somewhere in the fuel system because the engine would dump fuel all over in my garage after cranking. I looked under the car to find the bottom of the turbos dripping fuel everywhere. I tried tightening the necessary bolts, but it did nothing. To me it also looks like the "pin" from the actuator/flapper is where it is also leaking from.

(Sorry for bad pic)

Is this a sign of bad gasksets? Bad turbos? Or is it not relevant to future problems?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

-Billy

That is a sign of fuel system problems. What is your fuel setup?

There is a really good fuel system troubleshooting thread on the rx7 other forum.

Why would you think it a sign of turbo problems?

Well the only aftermarket things in the fuel system is a Sard FPR, and Walbro Fuel Pump. I don't have the regulator set correctly because I just got a fuel gauge for it the other day. I just don't understand why the gasket, or turbos would leak fuel when the motor is flooded. Wouldn't that be a sign on future exhaust leaks?

I suggest you unbolt and lift the fuel rail off of the engine block and pressurize it. Then observe the leak and fix it.

Most likely the fuel is dripping from somewhere else. I seriously doubt it has anything to do with your turbos. You are most likely pooling fuel on top of the housings and it's dripping down and round the turbos, or your LIM gasket is leaking. I would wager the first as I've seen it before. Pull the UIM off and jumper the fuel system.

Well I know that the LIM gasket is good, and is not leaking, and that fuel is pooling up at the bottom of the motor. I guess theres no where else for fuel to go to? Only the bottom of the turbos are wet, and losing fuel. I can actually see when it goes from dry, to dripping when I have someone crank the engine. I'll take better pics this weekend around more places from where its dripping from.

If the car is flooded, it will kick the excess fuel out when the motor cranks. The excess will exit the exhaust ports and run out of any place it can (i.e. exhaust manifold connection or DP connection are the usual places).

That makes better since to me. I'll fix the fuel pressure this week, and see what happens, thanks a lot Mahjik
