trust/greddy DP vs HKS DP

what's the best of these two? anyone used both?

the HKS is 25,000yen and the trust/greddy is 15,000yen - but I can't get a 'hands on' comparison of either (need to order them in) .

opinions?

(ps: I'm really only interested in these two, if you want to throw another DP into thread, please make it a japanese brand)

cheers

There will be some people here that will be ****, but honestly, a DP is a DP so long as it is 3" diameter, fits appropriately, and is stainless steel.

Whether HKS, Greddy, or Joe's metal shop makes it doesn't mean crap.

I agree with AMRAAM4.

The mild steel or aluminized steel of the HKS isn't bad either. It will gain rust on the outside over time, but it will take many, many years to actually rust through.

I've had my brand new HKS dp for several months now. Where exactly does it start to rust?

I have an HKS downpipe and its ceramic coated and will never rust!!! And it has a chrome-like finish.
I only used it for 4500-5000km's or so...
I'll sell it for $190 US shipped.
let me know!

the feed (fujita engineering) sonic and the amemiya DPs are around the 60,000 yen mark - so, for me, a little pricey for what it is

Doesn't someone offer a 4 inch downpipe? What are the cost differences? I believe it is greddy or HKS...

I've never seen the Greddy/Trust DP in the US. The HKS is mild steel and I would think the Greddy is as well (for that price). I beleive the Border allready has a EGT bunge and the AutoExe is real nice and if I had bill gates wallet i'd get the Mazdaspeed. Why don't you contact jt-imports since you are in japan. As a matter of fact contact FullTuned7 on the other forum because he had a used 2-into-1 DP for $200.
