I eventually had to replace the hinges on my 95. No more rattles.

Join the crowd....I cant find the rattle either. I fixed the squeek (the cricket sounding latch) with putting some grease on the latch.

yeah, I have a rattle pretty badly. I looked at my latches and the little piece of plastic that insulates the bottom part of the latch is worn through, so the sound it metal on metal contact. As a temporary fix I wrapped the top part of the latch once with masking tape, but I'm going to try to get a new latch at any rate as mine was damaged by some moron trying to break into the hatch.

A problem that I used to have was the handle for the jack. It doesn't sit very solidly in the plastic that is supposed to secure it. If it moves, the upper part of the handle can rattle around. I wound up putting a paper towel around the spot where it pops into the holder. This made a huge difference in holding it solidly. Check your jack handle.

On a side note, your car will never be noise free. You will have to put up with some of it.

I thought someone posted something about remounting the bracket slightly to fix this? Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyhow, with the hatch open I slid in a small squarish piece of StyroFome (Spelling? lol) in between the weather stripping and rear Qtr panels. You don't really notice it and it keeps the hatch tightly locked down and noise free.

I adjusted the latch (moved it down a little), which fixed the problem

Two hinges are about $56 from Ray. Part number for each (they are identical) is FD01-62-210C. The pre-recall number is FD01-62-210A.

okay, it could be this little dooozy whats it....

i have exadurated with the dbl sided tape so you can see what i have done

if not that then it could be this one

the red circle indicates the problem, there is like a small hook their stoping the spring loaded lever, all i did was put a SMALL peice of red plastic elec cable(amp cable stuff)
i gutted the peice obviously and then popped it over that hook so that it doesnt rattle, to secrure it there i put a small dobble of silicon underneith the the hinge.

then once you done that pop it back together
