Is it true Mazda sells fenders for only $150 each???

Fender have a list price of a little over $200. Many dealerships will discount 20% if you ask. To make it economical you should buy local, shipping a fender won't be cheap and there is a REAL possibility that it'll get banged up.
For doors don't buy new, buy used. They aren't as commonly damaged as fenders and much more expensive new.
Most FDs totalled are front end damage cars. It is hard to find front end parts used and parts are expensive (except cheap fenders). Hoods list for $779, an entire stock front bumper assy is ~$1200. Headlight assy are ~$489. Do a little labor and add some paint, FDs with front damage get totalled REALLY QUICK.

Do they come with any paint at all, or is it just bare steel?
I ask, because my car was in a front-end collision and the both of my front fenders are buckled a little bit above the wheels. It looks fine, but the paint has chipped away and rusted where the buckle is on the driver's side. The previous owner claimed that the car was painted not long ago. I can tell it has been repainted because the clear coat is botched and there is paint on the stripping. Anyways, I think this spot was rusted and then after it was repainted, the new paint chipped off of it. I'm worried about the rust spreading. I keep that spot well waxed, but I don't think that will last forever. I was also thinking of sanding off the rust and slopping some touch-up paint on there, but I don't think touch-up paint will hold up very well, either. The rust spot is about two inches long along the flare, and about a quarter inch up on the fender. It looks kind of like it rode some stucko.
