This a true HKS BOV?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-H...85904671QQrdZ1

My old SSQV BOV broke so I'm looking for a new one. $155 seems like a too good to be true deal for a brand new one.

I know there are a ton of replicas and fake ones, but I've looked over and it seems this is an authentic HKS SSQV.

I already have the flange, so I just need the BOV and then put on the flange from my old one right?

looks authentic to me, if not then they are hugely in deep **** for copyright infringement. all the replicas i have seen do not have the HKS logo that the one they pictured does have. the replicas also can only use the term 'style' to indicate that it is a fake or they also are infringing on HKS' copyrights.

it still is labeled SSQV, i believe they went through some stages where they changed the lettering and they could be using an older picture. all the fakes i have seen had no lettering/stenciling whatsoever on them. it could also be their newer stenciling since that picture appears on their main page i linked to below.

i also know HKS recently dropped the price of the SSQV:

http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=792

edit: it's also not likely that a power seller is going to misrepresent an item like that unless their account was hacked and a simple view of their history would clear that up by a recent change in auction items say from someone who normally sells clothes to who within the last day is selling auto parts and hacks can happen to anyone at any time so just pay with a payment plan that gives you purchase insurance against fraud/theft.

I guess I'll go ahead and go through with purchasing this, I have the flange on my old SSQV, so I should be able to just transfer it onto this one and put it on right?

as far as i've seen the newer version uses the same flange as the old one so i would assume yes it is fully transferrable.

This is just the universal BOV who's retail is 189$ of something like that. It is with the application specific adaptor kit that it becomes expensive.

oh...hmmm I'd like to find a sequential type valve that'll handle up to 24 psi but can go as low as 16 psi... time to search!

The adaptor kit is just the rx-7 flange correct? I hope I was fine with buying this, this will work with the FD right as long as I have the FD flange?

Trademark, not copyright. And it'd be up to HKS to police/enforce any violations of their trademark.

it should fit, because I remember your old one already had the flange
use the flange off of your old one
