Question troubleshoot Fuel Level Sender

Not sure why it's not working. I got a double pumper system from rx7store. hooked everything up, checked all the connection with a volt meter. everyting good there. the floater is floating and the fuel gauge worked prior to me installing the new system. after the install, turned the key and the gas gauge hit rock bottem. did a omhs check on the swing arm, dont know if i did it wrong but i got different number when i moved the control arm. in all aspects it should work. am i missing something?

all i did was unscrew it from the old one and screwed it to the new one. spliced the wires and hooked it up.

Could be the sender took a dump. The project car I did a while back did the same thing - I just bought another sender assembly from Mazda, put it in, done.
