The outermost pillow ball in your videos is a perfect example of one that's worn out. As long as the pillow ball offers some resistance and doesnt click when moving it front to back, it's ok to use.

What kind of grease do you use on these things? FSM says to pill it with grease to the covers. OEM pregrease looks white so white lithium maybe?

 

I've always received different answers to that question (even from the Mazda dealer) but I use a good bearing grease on them while others use whatever grease they have in front of them. I've even had FD's come in with pillow ***** that only had the pre-grease, as you call it, on them and nothing more. Make sure you burp the dust seals of any air so they wont try to pop off.

Looks to me like there is 8 pillow ball joints to replace, 3 on the lower arm and one on the upper wishbone per side. See Max Coopers's site.
