Me and my friend are trying to change my brake pads and we are having trouble getting the calipar to fold down. we removed the top bolt and the bottom and it still wont come down. are there some pins that i need to take off before it will fold down.

I'm by no means an expert, but if I remember correctly, the front ones don't need to be folded anywhere and there are no bolts to remove. On the back you only have to remove the lower bolt and it will rotate up and away from the disk, exposing the pads.

As stated already the fronts are pretty straight forward. You will most likely have to push the pistons back into the caliper to get the new pads to fit. This may be made easier for you to do by removing the caliper. This is done via the 2 mounting bolts(17mm head) on the back side of the front knuckle. Grab a flashlight and look for them if you don't see them right off. A pair of channel-lock pliers that open wide will work for pushing the pistons in....CLEAN the pistons first of road grime and any rust or debris

on the rear you have to do the same EXCEPT..you need to twist the piston back into the caliper. I believe it is to the right( clockwise) to get the piston in.It's been a while since i did a set. You'll know right away as it will either go in or out. A pair of needle nose pliers works well for this, or you can get the tool made for the job at NAPA or equal store.
