Transmission Question
Are there any differences between the 93, 94 and 95 trannies?
I have a 93 that is scratching between first and second gear, and I believe it is beginning to show signs of the 5th gear syncro issue.
Is it better to rebuild this tranny, or would I have better luck with a low mileage tranny out of a 94/95 ?

list price is 2500, malloy will sell for 2100 + 100 for shipping. Of course no tax for cali.
Its not a reman. Its brand new fresh off the assembly line. Completely bolt up, including the shifter and all the gears.
That sounded better to me than getting a rebuild on my 175K oem tranny.

I have a 94 with 174K original miles. never was rebuilt. The bearing is going bad now. Syncros are still fine. Even had about 80 runs at the drag strip. I mised 3rd about 3 or 4 times. never had a problem.
I heard that the 94/95 had reinforced syncroplates. I dont know if its true or not.

i got mine off a 93 r1 that i parted out. the car was all stock and it had an engine burn on the side of the battery. the engine core was good and the tranny was also good. the car had only 60k miles on it. it was up for sale for $400 but nobody wanted it so i am keeping it. just rebuild yours because chances are, if you buy a used tranny, they wont give you a warrenty. also, call Jeff at Rotary Power, he doesnt rebuild but knows someone that does.
