What are you looking for? Dog-face engagement in the stock gearbox?
(If so, I think Greddy/Trust has one for under $7k, from www.rotaryextreme.com).
Might as well grind a few used stock trannies for that price before spending for that gearset.

What are you looking for in your tranny? strength? rpm? Im not expert, but you need to be looking for ALOT from your FD to warrant using a non stock tranny as they hold good power and revs as stock.

I had one built with better gears from protech one time and it was awsome it just fell into gear but a month later I cracked the tranny case and ruined it, now i'm on a stocker thats on it's way out and just looking at buying the internals and having them cyro treated.

You can go ahead and give it a try. It would be really interesting to have them cryo a couple of your old parts also, and do hardness tests before/after. While cyro results vary widely, it would be very nice to know you're getting better hardness and internal stress relief in the steel, as well as hardening the brass synchros a little more. I'm not sure I'd want really hard synchros in my street-driven car, but for race I can't see a disadvantage.
