Trans fill plug

I'm currently having some issues trying to get the fill plug out. It's been stuck on there by the previous owner with some gorilla-like strength. I saw a hex like screw near the fill plug (a bit higher and to the left) and was wondering if I could use that for the time being. This is really urgent so any fast response is appreciated! Thanks (I have attached a photo with the main fill plug. to the left you can see what I'm talking about.)

Don't think you can use that bolt...
Go here: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati.../#post12401438
Navigate to that google drive.
Open up the PDF in this screen shot and go to page 16. Not sure if it is the same bolt but I'd be concerned about what is on the other side of it.

I think you might have to hit the fill plug with a torch to break down whatever sealant the PO used.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will comment soon.

You can use that 2nd plug that you referenced to refill the transmission, but if you don't remove the one you have labeled as the "fill plug", you run the risk of overfilling the transmission. To be clear, I'm talking about the plug circled in blue.

Thank you for your answer. If you are talking about the bolt in nr 15, then that's not it. This is UNDER the fill plug. im talking about the one next to it. I've attached a image

Thanks a lot! I'll add exactly 2.5 quartz and let it drain for 5 or more minutes

UPDATE!: The bottom square drain plug won't open either. I know it's kinda dumb but, does anyone know how much oil is left in there if I only removed the main plug? Thanks!

What sort of tools are available to you, female square plug socket would be best, and I'd hate to be trying to be using something like a shifter on a glued in one.

As mentioned above, heat will be your best friend, no need for an oxy, a basic lpg/propane/yada BBQ gas bottle and torch should do the trick and comes in handy for other uses. Hopefully whoever has used the goo hasn't munted the threads, but from memory you're you're working with 3/8 or 1/2 inch BSPT plugs there.

Otherwise, a tall ask for someone to be able to tell you the quantity in the 5th/R part of the case when the 1-4 drain plug is removed.

There's through holes between the castings, which you might be able to utilize for a quick(ish) and dirty solution if you're somewhat **** and wanted to try to get the last few ml out of the case - remove PPF/ tailshaft/ centre console boot, etc, and jack up the back of the box a touch.....but even a shitty 5min 30 buck throw away gas bottle torch combo would be preferable.

Not a lot iirc. Judging by this video, maybe 1/2 qt?

How bad was the oil that you drained from the main drain plug?

I see. I will buy a torch and try again. I've seen people say that you can use gas teflon tape for sealing it. What type of glue were you talking about to seal it up?

Teflon would work, just need to wind the tape on in the correct direction and hope the prior owner hasn't previously turned the plug until it's stripped the casing thread and backed it off a turn or two. .Looks to be silicone, but even if epoxy, heat should kill it.

Other than a shelf life drawback, Loxseal, is essentially a plumbers low strength liquid equivalent to teflon tape and is what I'll use if it falls to hand readily. I'm sure Loctite, Permatex, 3 bond, etc, will have something similar too if that type of sealing is a preference.
