Track video at Roebling Road in GA

I spent the weekend of Nov. 12 at Roebling Road Raceway near Savannah, Geogia, with the Coastal Empire chapter of the Porsche Club of America (PCA).

First off, these guys run a great DE, and everyone was very nice, even with letting my RX7 pass them down the straight.

I had a great instructor who had a NADY helmet system, so I could intimately hear his comments.

I was signed-off for SOLO driving after my first run (four runs per day @ 15-minutes), and periodically asked him to sit with me, just so I don't pick up any bad habits.

The RX7 is a great momentum car, and can really keep with all of them in twisties. I did have intermittant secondary boost problems during the last two sessions of the last day (Sunday), which limited my passing ability IF they kept on the accelerator.

Here's a short video in QuickTime format.

BTW: I run in the "blue" intermediate solo group in a stock motor w/Koni shocks, and Tripoint swaybar.

Enjoy,

:-) neil

I messed up my front main bearing at thier Sept event at roebling road. A bunch of good guys there. Although I wasnt very impressed with the track layout. It was just kind of boring to me. There wasn't enough braking or tight corners for me.

Roebling Road is a great track to learn on; most of the runoff areas are just sand and grass. At least that's the way it was 20 years ago.

I've always liked the track, used to be one the Skip Barber school ran at in the winter series, I like that it has a slight elevation change on the backside of the track. I can't imagine my car being any less fun than it was in the formula fords. Glad you had fun Neil.

Hey guys I just posted a video on the 3rd gen forum of a test and tune day I ran at in Denver, CO. earlier this month. The track was Second creek raceway about 1.7 miles. One of the videos is split screen against a 01' Ford SVT Cobra and I ran over a second faster and he ahs much more done to his car than I have done to mine. Hopefully the video streams well it was alittle slow on my computer but my computer sucks!!

Yes. I have their "medium" bar and it produces very slight understeer when coupled with the STOCK rear bar. The rear can still easily be provoked by lifting on the throttle.
