Quick! See if you can buy it back from the insurance company and then you can sell parts and try to make some money off of it.

that's a shame. I am glad you weren't seriously hurt.
I guess I am too old to understand "drifting" When I was taught to drive I was told that "drifting" is what you are doing either before you wreck or what you are doing when you went into the corner too fast.
I simply don't see the point.

Purposefully drifing at 100mph on a public road ?
I guess you know you're lucky to be alive. Drifting sounds like fun at low speeds on a controlled course but not at 100 on a public road. I managed to roll a car on the roof once when I was young doing something stupid so I can't flame you too much. Looks like you might learn the same lesson. I managed to lose my whole car since I only had liability (only worth $1k anyway, was a 1976 Capri II v6 with headers, springs, roll bars, etc.). Luckily I found another and had the car towed to a salvage yard of a friend. Stripped the old one and put on the new. Was back on the road in no time.
Lesson learned: going *****-out on a back road not a good idea when another car coming your way taking part of your lane. Had to swerve coming into a corner, went up embankment slightly, sway bar pulled out and into front fender, and flipped on roof. Luckily no ticket but police did say something about my 'yaw' tire mark.
I found out I was not as invincible as I thought...

I am actually a very good driver. I'm 21 yrs. old and this is my second FD. Unfortunately, there aren't any tracks to drift on here in Florida so i'm stuck on the back roads. It wasn't stupidity that caused the crash, it was a mechanical failure. I believe that I lost a control arm in the rear suspension as the tire buckled right before I lost it (too many high stress driving maneuvers I guess, or maybe it was that curb). It's hard to say now as that whole side of the car is demolished. I'm not completely stupid as I was wearing a helmet at the time. Otherwise I might be dead. I learned riding motorcycles that not wearing a helmet isn't very smart so I wear one when I want to get a little crazy. As of my next FD, it will have a roll cage and some more safety mods. I already have a nice 93 R1 picked out.

Dude, read my post again. 100 mph on a back road is not a good thing, esp. when someone else coming right toward you is hogging part of the lane (probably more so these days with these big SUV's). One sudden move at that speed and you're done. My roof was crushed in and was hitting the passenger seat. Luckily no one was with me.
Are you going to get dinged by your insurance for this? If so I would wait to see what your rates go to.
Doesn't seem that you've learned your lesson.
Here's another for you. Had a friend in a Vette do something similar and hit a bridge abutment. Unfortunately he's no longer with us
You're headed in the same direction my friend...

Mechanical failures don't happen for ***** and giggles. Do you know how much stress you put on that control arm during a controlled drift at 100mph? Something the fatigue analysis guys figured would only happen once or twice during a freak spin out. I'm glad no one else got hurt or worse. You say it wasn't stupidity and then say "too many high stress driving manuvers I guess, or maybe a curb", that isn't the cars fault is it? I'm really sorry, i feel for your lose of the car. FYI, you won't need the roll cage if you don't drive like an idiot. Buy a mustang, i see too many of those...you can change that!
