Question Top Secret

My car is at my uncles body shop for some repairs (damaged hood). My uncle said that he would fix all of the little "dings" on my car. He said that he would paint it a "custom" color at no charge, other than the cost of the paint. My car is currently black, and I live in florida, so it attracts alot of heat. I was thinking about going a lighter color to keep it somewhat cooler. I was thinking about picking a color very close to the color that Top Secret paints their cars. It is a goldish color that changes in darkness, according to the light. Im thinking about this color, due to the fact that I have no seen any FD's that are gold, and I would like to stand out. But I dont want to be "rice" either. Any suggestions are appreciated.

TIA,
ALI

i think gold is a good color for topsecret cars because they are fast enough to get away with it

idk about how nice a fd would look wiht it though, espeically a stock one (body wise). perhaps with some crazy *** bodykit it would look fairly unique but idk. acutally if you like the color, it really does not matter what anyone else thinks, just do it if you like it and screw everyone else . perhaps you might wanna photoshop it first to see if you like it though.

BTW: are you planning on painting the 99' Spec Front Lip (just added) as well or were you gonna leave that black?

Gold doesn't sound like a very good choice. Red or Blue (not Montego Blue) if you want it to stand out.

You are correct about yellow standing out. Too bad its such a horrible color for a car. The only worse colors (IMO) are lime green, pink, and orange. No, I take that back. Orange is better than yellow

don't go silver, one of the most bland, boaring colors out there for any car, let alone a sports car. if you want it to be real unique, look at House of Colors (or Kolors, not sure of the spelling). They have some amazing colors, and you may find something that you like. Ultimately, don't let anyone else choose the color for your car, choose yourself.

There is a "Champage" taht is a mix betwen gold and silver... It's not a bad alternative, I just think that gold is too gold.... (too yellow) and it looks wird cause gold in reality is more of a polished yellow color. And the pictures you have make it more of a yellow / brown metallic....
I don't know if that makes sense... but it also makes you look incredibly arrogant, like you fill your gas tank by dipping $100 bills in 100oct. gas, and the burn those....

Which can be a real pain when you want things done for a fair price...

White reflects light/heat better than any other color. You can spice it with a pearl/gold finish.
