...lets think about this...how can something get flooded if its not getting any gas to start with? we're gonna put a new harness on it in the morning, his looks chopped up and i think a plug is pretty much broken and not making a good enough connection...

its not the ecu, bc we have 2 of them and both work in my car but neither will in his so it has to be in his wiring since we've swapped every fuse possible...

don't be an ***. i see lots of guys try to diagnose their own problems and most of the time they end up being totally backwards.

I am really running out of ideas.....The harness is connected tight to the ecu and the grounds are in place, we checked ever fuse in the both of the fuse boxes closest to the battery and just check the fuel pump relay fuse in the other fuse box closest to the ic, and we also check the fuel pump and engine fuse in the fuse box inside the car. The car is getting spark but it seems like no fuel. If anyone else has any ideas that would be great, if not I guess we really did stump the "3rd gen" community.....

pulled engine codes and got: 2-crank pos. NE sensor, 9-water thermosensor, 11-intake air thermosensor (engine), 12-TPS full range, 13-pressure sensor intake manifold, 20-metering oil pump pos. sensor, 23-fuel thermosensor, 26-metering oil pump stepper motor...what would cause the car to pull all these codes? fuse? or mixed up wires when we spliced the new plug onto the old harness? im pretty sure everything is spliced right but there are 2 different black and white wires that couldve been crossed. would one or 2 wires crossed cause it to pull this many codes? does anyone know what fuse would cause it to pull all these codes?...

we hotwired the fuel pump but that didnt help. in the manual it says that the car will not start if it doesnt get a signal from the Crank position NE sensor, or the Water thermosensor and it pulls both of those codes. i need to know what fuse lies in those circuits. i just need someone to tell me the answer or tell me where i could find the answer to that problem and we might be able to get the car running...
Those are some SERIOUS codes - no wonder the car won't start!
You're gonna have to get out the wiring diagram and trace it. Wonder if the sensors in question are all on the ECU plug that's hard to get in...
Shouldn't be super tricky to find the problems, but you best be handy with a meter and a wiring diagram

ok good ive have seen people do it and fry there ecu, a friend of mine with a 1st gen had some one put a new battery in his car and since the battery cables were the same color, he put the wrong ones on the wrong post and blew the ecu all to hell.rolleyes

last and final time...the ecu is not damaged...period. it works in my car in all aspects. we always unhook batteries when messing with electronics but we didnt this time and it wouldnt have made a difference either way since it turns out its fine...
Sorry, I should have read all the way through before I posted. Have you diconnected the battery and held the brakes for like 15 to 20 sec. ??? if not do that then hook it back up and recheck your codes. If you still have all those codes your going to have to work through them.
