Question tokiko 5 way adj. on FD

I had the tokiko 5way adj. shocks for about 5yrs now. (50,000miles) How long do they last on FD anyways on regular driving?

I now have wheel hop on the rear right during hard turns on nutral or with acc. Could the shock be causing this? The shock does get adjusted from soft to hard, seems like that adjusting function is still active. I thought it was the toe link but after getting the new toelinks, it did not make any diffrence. What do you all think?

I had a front right one go out (leaking) with less than 20,000 miles. I got them to anti up two new front shocks so they would be in balance. For 4 new ones they require higher mileage. The only problem is you have to send the bad shock to them before they will replace it. Thus you car will be down for a while.

Take your suspect shock out and test it. If bad find your proof of purchase and call them.

thankx guy. My shocks are "gas" and not oil, so I wouldnt see any leak. I'm guessing if its out, the shock would not hold even if its on hard. But the weird thing is when I adjust it it still does change the ride from soft to hard.

There is still oil in a gas charged shock.

Yep. I can vouch that the oil in the Tokicos is green as I've seen one on an FD spew it all out...

All shocks have oil in them, that's how the valving works. The gas is merely added under pressure to keep the oil from foaming and thus make its action through the valves more consistent.
