FL Title question

so long story short i got my hands on a r1 i believe (this will be my first 3rd gen) for $500. car was stolen n blah blah just needs a motor and some interior trim. body is in good condition paint is just fading...

ok my question is.... when i buy the car. i know its going to have a salvaged title. so when i get it running again and the title becomes rebuilt, can i still mod it or does it have to remain all original???

if it matters i live in south florida

any help would be great. the 3rd gen rx7 has always been my dream car.

why would you not be able to mod it?

Rebuilt title or not,......if you own it, you can do whatever you want to it.

My FD has a rebuilt title(by me) and I've modded the **** out of it. Who's gonna stop you?

I'm in FL as well. All they did at the DMV was check my list of major parts needed for repair, and made sure all the vin numbers matched up. Took about 20 minutes.

thats good news lol thanks for the feedback.

i wasnt sure about it so i figured id ask. i didnt know if someone was going to inspect it cuz i heard rumor that to get the title rebuilt the car would have to be at factory specs.

just thought id get it cleared up before anything.

well I would get it running in stock/near stock condition for the inspection. I wouldn't start modding until after you get the "rebuilt" sticker
