Tired of sweating in your car? Get this!
Actually, I don't know that it will work well or not, but my tuner told me about a similar device that was in a car that he was driving. He said that it worked really well. I don't know if this is a common problem, but my back sweats a lot in my car even with the AC on sometimes. Maybe this device will help. I ordered it this morning. Around $40 shipped.

It says in the product description that it pulls ambient air through that hole via a fan. If you point the a/c vent below the steering colum at that opening, it would probably work really well. Better yet, build a duct from that vent to fan on the seat. Too bad you'd be tripping over it getting in and out of the car.

Bah, just rest your back on a miniature air-hockey table.
I think Saab once had a similar feature built into one of its sedans. The seat was perforated and pulled air into the seat, but vented out of the car... not as environment-friendly as Artowar's idea though.

I think this device operates more on the premise that some air should be flowing behind you (in between your back and the seat) to keep you from sweating. Of course, the cooler the air is, the better; however, I think just circulating ambient air will be sufficient in most circumstances to keep my back cool enough to keep me optimally comfortable.
