Unhappy time to hang up the towell, farewell FD

Hey gang. I'm sorry to say i am going to sell my FD now. I just can;t afford insurance, the car, all the TLC it needs, and i want to eat and pay rent, too. So i'm trading in my rotors for more reliable pistons. Dont worry, i'll still have the speed. But i'm going to miss her. My friend just bought her 2nite.

P.S.
You know it is bad when your car cost more per month than your food bill per YEAR. Just something to chew on.

I eat out 99% of my meals so my food bill is pretty close to my car bill. If I get into a situation of not being able to afford my car I will buy a shell for the REPU and move into that. If I still need money I may have to quit eating.

Have you tried maintaining and repairing the car yourself?

Yeah, i thought about quiting eatting too haha.
Yea, i do maintane the FD myself, but it get tiresome. I need something reliable, you know? The 3rd gen RX-7 is far from it. If there was a way that i could keep it for under 20K a year, then i would. This thing cost 20G's just to own! It's worse than a freaken Lamborghini. Insurance alone is $1,056 for 6 months, plus it averages me about $500 bucks a month to drive the thing (for gas, and all the repairs, plus it needs a new mod every month, she makes me buy her stuff). My mom's camry cost only $2.50 cents a month. Seriously, this is wrong. Mazda invented the FD in some kinda scandle with the parts companies, i swear.

You must be a youngin - my insurance on my FD costs me about $450 every 6 months for full coverage (30, no accidents or tickets) but as far as maintenance goes, I'm positive Mazda designed the FD with the cooperation of the mod companies, tuners, and engine rebuilders. There's a reason that KDR, Pettit, Pineapple, and others are booked for months, and it's not ALL for getting mods - these cars just plain suck as far as things going wrong. When she's running, it's the best car on earth to me. But she's never running.....so hate her.
