alloy jack in any FDs from the factory?
hi all
discovered a beautifully light alloy jack in the my early JDM FD3S-102399
after using the search function i found that some RX-7s had this around 1988 and that they came from germany at around $200 each, that would tie in with the jack instructions being in japanese, english and french, (odd for a japanese sold car)
2 questions for ya!
1. did any FD come with these jacks from the factory, or has a previous owner simply grabbed one from an FC?
(should i start looking for an alloy space saver spare?)
2. i've seen reference to usa FD serial/VIN numbers starting with 200001 for 1993 cars
does this mean my 102399 was built in 1992?
after a repaint it has lost the stickers in the drivers doorwell
any other way to check production date?

will post a photo of the alloy jack soon

As far as I know, all FDs came with the light aluminum jack. My 1988 Turbo II had the same light jack and the same spare wheel (although the wheel was bare aluminum, where it is painted yellow on my FD).
