ok, when I first start my FD up there is a loud ticking or clicking noise coming from under the UIM, I did a searcg and I've found a bit of info about injectors relating to this subject but nothing concrete, I also noticed that it goes away when you give it gas but comes back at idle, oh and it goes away all together after about 10mins of driving.

Would I be correct in asuming the following could be the problem-
Injectors
solenoids ( under UIM)
Alternator

or at worst.....something intenal?

any ideas?

 

its probably a heat shield

 

u mean like "banging" against sumthing??

 

check your plug wires they may be worn out and you are getting a spark to the engine block...

 

had the exact same symptoms... changed the plugs and wires and its gone

 

old post but i'll bring it back to life because i have the exact same symptoms but now my car
will not start. help.
