0 fuel pressure
So as a few people know my car has been to **** for a while. Was doing a fuel pressure test and saw that when the car was turned off, there was no residual pressure, it just dropped to 0. What would cause this besides a faulty fuel pump?
Thanks,
Andrew

A leak, though perhaps an "internal" (not likely to cause fire) one.
- leak between fuel pump outlet and the hood thingy inside the gas tank
- leaky injector
- leaky injector/fuelrail o-ring
Or it could be a dead FPR or fuel pump.
How did you connect a fuel pressure gauge to read the pressure without bleeding off some residual pressure in the process? You probably want to run the fuel pump with the gauge attached to check pressure then (start engine, or turn key to ON and put a jumper on the diagnostic connector). With the engine running (vacuum at FPR manifold reference port) the pressure should be, oh, 28-33 psi or so. It should be 36-40 psi with the engine off (no vacuum at FPR manifold reference signal).
Some fuel pump & regulator setups don't hold residual pressure very well (and it's not a problem for those setups), so post what you've got if it isn't stock.
