225 Km/h in the only straight line on a mountain course near my house (limit 90Km/h)....Police photo-shoot me with tele-laser but I missed (XD) the STOP.....

I stopped 8KM ahead at the restaurant on top of mountain and they arrive times ago....

When they stopped they walk throught me with a smile and the ticket paper block in them hands...

After 30 min of lecturing we start to talk about the FD (here in italy there are under 30 RX7) and only 2 S8 like mine...

We drink 2 beer at restaurand and they only tocket me for 80 Euro for noisy exaust.

Full ticket is around 800 Euro and 3-6 month of revoked driving lincence plus a trial for not stopping....

Lucky here that police man on this course are good and every weekend talk with bikers and drivers^^

The worst thing that law say here is that if you illegal race on the street or burn the speed limit for over 100% (or if you are drunk over 1.00g/L of blood or under drugs) they take yor car and destroy it or sell at the auction...

Fortunately except that for drunk/drugs no COP touch your car for other stuff like speed ...they do your pocket from behind...but they let yor car live ^^

1 ticket in my fd.

on the way to the track and we were taking a shortcut. there wre 5 of us and i was in front. were crusing up and down this road and on the apex of this left turn a cop was tucked on the side of the road. before i could even pass him, he put his lights on.

i got a ticket for doing ~70km/h in a 50km/h... nothing crazy, but japanese police are pretty strange. it was hot that day and they asked me to step out of the vehicle and they escorted me to the back seat of their cruiser. when i sat down and they closed the door i got really worried. i wasnt in hadcuffs which was confusing. they turned the ac on full blast then proceeded to write me a ticket with me sitting in the back of the cruiser.

after i had my ticket and they were done with me, they told me to "safety drive"...

one time I forgot registration date and was driving normally when I got pulled over and ticketed for driving unregistered, cop took my license plate and had me call a tow truck to get home... $400 ticket plus $100 tow...

- 75 in a 55 zone (the only speeding ticket I've gotten in the RX-7)
- too dark window tint
- excessive noise (BS because mine's really quiet but because of the size of the catback tip they ticketed me)
- driving without documents (forgot wallet)

I don't ever get a ticket in my FD, because it hasn't even seen a public road.

Last Sunday I was on 95 and about to gun it , it was wide open in front of me. For tose of you about to flame me.

I had the radar up ( thank God) got in front of a blacked out Sub. and out of no where the laser on the radar started going off. Okay Okay..... I know....... moved over for him and let him go. It was kind of like; DON'T YOU GUN THAT! LOL. Saved me so many times.

Got a $250.00 ticket for tail lights that were "clearly too dark and not manufacturer OEM"

I have factory tail lights. They are tinted from the factory.

So drove to my local Mazda dealership and had them inspect the car. The service manager signed a letter stating the rear lights were 100% factory fitted.

Took that letter to the local Police. Fines were reversed. Now I carry a copy of that letter in the car, in case some police officer tries to be smart about it again.

** Edit- Same officer also insisted that the car "could not be a 1992 manufacture, its clearly too new." which prompted him to investigate the VIN and registration number on the side of the road. I used my phone to google FD3S RX-7 and showed him the production run of the FD. He was satisfied with that, and then the rear lights immediately came into question.

Sounds like he was being nice by letting you sit in the A/C. ... Could've told you though instead of freaking you out.

Got one for loud exhaust, called my buddy and had the original in my hand the next day with an appology. Guy was still in training and needed something to do. I think I still have both copies here somewhere.

My only real ticket in the FD was for Street racing... Raced a friend . and a cop saw us... he actually had some one stopped . he ditched the person he had stopped and chased me . unfortunately I got sandwiched one cop in front and the other from behind . I had a nice little time being handcuffed for a few hours . 700 dollars later I decided to keep it on the track ..

he's from japan , i'm pretty sure the point got lost in translation .

besides He's not wrong . street racing is very reckless .. and for those of us who do / have done it . we gotta accept the fact that not everyone will see your point of view. and accept that hey truth is they aren't wrong.

When my car was bran new in 1992, I passed a cop giving out a ticket to another car in a 35 mph 4 lane boulevard. They were both in the right lane. I used my turn signal to move to the left lane, and again to get back into the right lane for an upcoming right hand turn. I was doing 35 mph. I did not break any laws with my driving.

Just after the right turn the cop is on my tail with flashing lights. He did not ask or say anything about my car. Only ask for my drivers license. He got on his computer system and then said to me. "It was reported that your plates were stolen, you need to change them."

Got home and called the police station to ask about it. They check my plates and told me the cop was in error.

I think the cop was having a bad day and since he was a different race was pulling a power play on me as he had no justified reason to pull me over.

Now if he just wanted to see my car, that would have been fine!

have any of you had cops follow you for miles for no apparent reason? I have, many times. Some even change lanes, pass me on the side looking at everything, change lanes again and slow down so I pass them on the other side, just to check my car all around.

some pull me over, check paperwork and let me go, and some just quit following me after a few miles... only one time was i actually ticketed after being followed, I was one day past my registration date!

Know your audience.

Street racing has been part of american culture from the 50's. This is a car forum, which coincidentally has an entire section dedicated to such events.

oh really, theres a section on here dedicated to street racing? please show me....

is the the racing kills loung that has the little sub-text that says "The RX-7 Club and IB in no way supports or endorses illegal street racing in any way, shape or form, and highly recommends against any illegal activities."

or is there somewhere else that i'm not seeing? just give it up... street racing is wrong and reckless in most cases. what i said was general comment directed at no one. why are YOU the only one that felt the need to comment on it?

cant really cater to your audience.. everyone is entitled to their opinions. cant hate on the man because he doesn't condone street racing. thats not fair , specially since fact is we're in the wrong ..
