Tick tick tick exhaust leak?
Tick tick tick exhaust leak?
I know for sure I have a exhaust leak but would it cause a tick sound? The tick sound is not all the time and to my understanding exhaust leaks are heard constantly.
It only happens when you give it quite a bit of throttle. Starts at around 10 inHG and gets louder the closer you get to boost. I did check shaft play before I put the turbos on and there is no play, just a little bit of in and out play.

iirc the turbo control linkage may need tightening.

Their rattle happens all the time though. Mine is just entering boost. Ill take a look at the TCA anyways to see if its loose. Thanks.

Yeah I saw that thread. I'm going to have a look at it. I do know for sure there is a exhaust leak but there is also this ticking sound. I don't think it's coming from the exhaust anymore.

If you heard my exhaust leak you would think the engine had valves.(I posted last year in Single turbo section.)It is an Fc but none-the-less turbo.
